whattup horseyholics! what a weekend i had. i was gonna tell you about it in detail but i think i will just give you the gist of it so i won't have a 15 page column.
it started Saturday around 12:30 or so. i got picked up by "The Rugby Thug" Trent Baker and we headed to Dayton to pick up another one of our boys, Chris Hero (Wifebeater). we got to Hero's house around 2:45 and then it was off to Charleston, IN for our big anniversary show for IWA Mid-South.
We arrived in Charleston around 6:15 after passing the FLORENCE Y'ALL tower and the BIG BONE LICK STATE PARK. Two of my personal favorite monuments for the trip. We went inside, said hello to the boy's and got ready for the show------- I'm gonna pause here and give you the results of the anniversary show. it was a great show and I was proud to be part of it.

RESULTS FROM IWA'S ANNIVERSARY SHOW @ CREATOR'S HOUSE OF HARDCORE

Hy Zaya over Chris Hero with the Swanton Bomb. After the match, J Prodigy hit the ring and worked over Hy Zaya eventally dumping him on a set of chairs, standing over Hy Zaya and mocking him.
American Kickboxer, Sexy Ace Steel and BJ Whimer went to a no contest. The match ended when all three men's shoulders were all pinned at the same time. The real loser of the match though had to be the referee Brent Blades. During the course of the match. As BJ was standing outside the ring, Ace Steel nailed a suicide dive on BJ. As both men were standing outside on the floor. American Kickboxer then readied for a dive of his own but was stopped by Blades. For his trouble, Brent gets a kick to the stomach by Kickboxer, gets thrown into the ropes and backdropped over the ropes onto Steel and Whitmer outside. If that wasn't enough, Kickboxer then readied himself on the apron and hit a springboard tumbleweed on all three men. After the match, Ace Steel stated to the crowd that he trained Colt Cabana and would be there in his corner for Cabana's match with Jerry Lynn later in the evening.
Todd Morton over Mark Wolf in a taped fist match. Morton got the victory in the match with the use of a steel chain wrapped around the already loaded fist. Morton continued to beat on Wolf after the match until Corporal Robinson, Cash Flo and Suicide Kid made the save.
Little Guido, in his IWA debut, defeated his former F.B.I. partner Tracy Smothers. During the match Suicide Kid hit the ring and nailed the Suicide Solution on Smothers. This led to Guido hitting the backslide ddt for the win.
Jim Fannin then makes his way to the ring stating that he is leaving IWA. He went on to say that he has done everything he could possibly do in IWA except be in a position of power: manage, ring announce and even wrestle a mat classic against Dave Prazak last year. Jim then proceeded to take off his shirt to reveal another shirt underneath that simply stated "Mean & Hard". For those of you that do not know, several years back Mean Mitch Page and Rollin Hard were a tag team under the leadership of Jim Fannin. Jim goes on to say that he feels Mean Mitch Page has let him down by joining up with Mad Man Pondo. Page makes his way to the ring and appears to be considering everything that Jim has to say. Mitch then decided to give Jim a hug since it was his last show and all, but refused to let go. Mad Man Pondo came out an leveled Fannin with a shot to the head with the stop sign. A table was then set up outside and a prone Fannin was laid on top. Mean Mitch Page climbed to the second rope and nailed a Page Bomb from the second rope onto Fannin through a table to the floor. The save was made by Ian Rotten who then announced that on Saturday, March 3, Mad Man Pondo would meet the challenge of the former five time ECW World Heavyweight Champion, The SANDMAN.
Jerry Lynn over Classic Colt Cabana. Cabana was led to the ring by his former instructor Sexy Ace Steel. During the course of the match, referee Brent Blades was again knocked out. This time though, in an attempt to revive him, was forced to "Bond Up" as Steel dropped what appeared to be at least a half bottle of Gold Bond powder down his pants. As Cabana reached the top rope and was steadying himself to leap onto Lynn but gets thrown off the top by Ace Steel. Lynn grabs the victory with the cradle piledriver.
Cash Flo successfully defended the IWA Mid-South Heavyweight Title against Blaze. This was an all over the building brawl that saw Cash get the victory with a powerbomb on Blaze through several lightubes.
The Suicide Kid and Corporal Robinson defeated "Rugby Thug" Trent Baker and The Shadow Kid. Suicide Kid decided to show everyone just how hardcore he is by taking off his shirt at the beginning of the match. Suicide Kid delivered a picture perfect legdrop from the rafters putting The Shadow Kid through a table for the pin. After the match, Baker attacked both Corporal and Suicide Kid.
Ian Rotten over Shank Dorsey in a fans bring the weapons falls count anywhere match. Another great all over the building brawl that even saw the kitchen sink used during the match. Lots of lightubes and even a staple gun to the nuts shot on Dorsey by Ian. Ian grabbed the victory with the Career Killer. After the match, Dorsey made up for the loss by attacking Ian with the shackels that he carried to the ring.
Mad Man Pondo and Mean Mitch Page over Rollin Hard and 2 Tuff Tony in a no rope barbed wire match when Pondo nailed Tony with a ddt on six chairs covered by Pondo's stopsign. Several higlights of the match include Rollin being crotched on the barbed wire by Pondo as well as Pondo going neck first into the wire and the wire collapsing below him. Awesome brawl. Great main event.

on with story, during my match in particular, i went through a lighttube tower structure that cut up my arms and my nose pretty good but Ian got the worst in the match. he got his thumb ripped open from the kitchen sink. it was bleeding badly, was going numb from cutting a nerve and had a chunk of flesh hanging from it. it was pretty gross to say the least but i give him huge credit cause he still wrestled me for about another 6 minutes like that and finished the match. i know that shit had to hurt. anyway, i get another shot at him this Saturday in a barb-wire baseball bat match. as you know the barb-wire baseball bat match was made famous in ECW be Ian and Axl Rotten. the match is his specialty and if i can get a win over Ian Rotten in a barb-wire baseball bat match then that will definitely propel me up the IWA Mid-South ladder, so Ian, hurt hand or not, I'm comin for ya. it's my time to shine so you better be on your toes the whole time.
after the show, we got cleaned up, got our pay, said bye to all the boy's, (by the way, i got a chance to talk to Jerry Lynn for a while Saturday and i just want to tell everyone that he is a cool mother f'er. talked to Guido a little too, he was very cool, but a little quiet, and Tracy Smother's is just Tracy Smother's, he's awesome, and i won't tell you what he was wearing or wasn't wearing in the locker room. the dude is hysterical.) we left the show tired and bloody, well, some of us anyway. we stopped off in Clarksville, IN and ate at steak n' shake with a couple of the IWA guy's. we left there on our journey home and then it happened.
just as we crossed the bridge into Kentucky and was about to get on the 71 ramp....... THE FUCKING CAR DIED!!!!!!!!
we were in Louisville Kentucky, 250 miles from home and stranded. it was 3:30 AM and the alternator on trent's car decides to lock up on us. we were screwed. but the good man upstairs was looking down on us that night cause Chris had the number to one of the worker's from the show which happens to be a good friend of his (and mine too now :) ) Mark Wolfe. he called mark and it just so happens that the car died about 5 minutes from his house. it was 3:30 in the morning and he came and got us, let us crash at his place for the night, helped get our car fixed the next day, and got us on the road back home. why'll we stayed there he really made us feel at home. he and his girl Shannon were awesome. they even went out and got all of us food. they were great. so i would like to give a big up to Mark Wolfe and Shannon. you guy's are super cool and i appreciate everything you did for us. we finally got back on the road about 7 PM on Sunday. we had some good topics on the way home which i can't reveal some of them. kayfabe and whatnot.
we stopped off in Cincinnati at Mcdonald's because (i told you i was gonna write it) CHRIS HERO HAD TO TAKE A SHIT!!!!!!!!
Trent went in and got us some food while Chris took his shit and i smoked my cigarette.(i didn't want to go inside cause my face was all cut-up and stuff). we left there and headed to Dayton. (by the way Trent, 2 drinks usually require 2 lids). we dropped Chris off and then Trent dropped me off about 11:00pm. i had to be at work the next morning at 8:00.
that is definitely a weekend i will never forget and a final note to Trent and wifebeater----- YOU GUY'S CAN JUST EAT MY ASS!!!!!!!!!!
