Whattup Horsey-holics!!! I'm back for another update of what's been going on in the life of "The Orient Express". I've heard some disturbing news as of late. I heard that there is a court date next week set for 2 parties of Columbus Wrestling. A promoter is taking a Wrestler to court for what is said to be unpaid dues. Now I consider the Wrestler a close friend of mine and I still consider the promoter a friend. I don't hold grudges in this business because it is just that. It's a business; it's not personal. But anyway, in my eyes I feel they are even. The promoter provided minimal training but did offer a place to work out and other wrestler's to work with. The wrestler paying to be trained pretty much had to get with other students and teach themselves in most aspects of the wrestling business. The promoter booked shows, the workers wrestled for free. The wrestlers had their friends, relatives, and girlfriends help with the shows in the way of selling merchandise and refreshments, running music and on some small occasions doing ring announcing, doing security and taking ring attire to the back. Anything to help the show and yes, you guessed it, they all did it for free. The wrestlers and their people did everything they could to help get the promoters company off the ground and running. They did it for free to help save money to buy more stuff for the company and now that this wrestler does not work for the promoter anymore, he's taking him to court for the balance of the tuition. I believe he's owes $200.00 or $250.00 out of a $1,250.00 tuition. I feel that everything this wrestler did for the company to help try and get it up and running smoothly should be considered. This guy's tuition should be considered PAID IN FULL. Call it even and walk away from it. It's a shame that this is going on in this city. From what I've learned from experience, Columbus wrestling isn't taken seriously and this is another one of the reasons why. Silly stuff like this is what gives us a bad rap. I really don't understand all the court threats, paper signings, etc. I can't understand the philosophy of having an independent wrestler sign papers preventing them to work for other promotions yet they won't give them guaranteed money. Anyway, I just had to get that off my chest. I have been asked by the wrestler to attend the court date and speak on his behalf if necessary. Now like I said earlier, I still consider the promoter a friend but this wrestler is one of my best friends in this crazy business so I have to have his back. Especially if I think he is morally right. But this is not Moral Court. This is a case to be handled in a real court of law. No cameras and no show. So morals don't apply here I guess.

Anyway, the time is getting closer. 4 weeks from now is the 2001 King Of The Death Match Tournament. It's drawing closer and closer and I'm getting more and more excited each passing day. "The Orient Express" has his chance to make a name for himself and you can bet your sweet ass he will do just that. AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!

July 21st, 2001 is scheduled to be one of the most important days of Shank Dorsey's life. Why, you ask? Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!! Interesting question.

This weekend coming, the weekend of May 12th -May 13th, "The Orient Express" Shank Dorsey and "The Other White Meat" Dale Johnson are scheduled to be in Canada to do some shows. So now the people up north are going to get a taste of the hottest tag-team going today. So to honor the Canadians I will offer a free horsey and a donkey punch to the 1st 25 people I see as soon as I cross the border. Hey, who said Shank wasn't a generous person. I'll be going with some good friends of mine. The people scheduled to go are of course me, "The Other White Meat" Dale Johnson, Sherman Tank, "The Rugby Thug" Trent Baker, Coyote, "Lucious" John Ellering, Chip Allgood and I think that's all. So I give fair warning to all the Truck Stops along the way. Because you never know.
