Whattup Horsey-holics....
First off, let me say Happy B-Day to my daughter, one of the 5 loves of my life. Megan just turned 13 and I am nervous as hell about it. Looks like I'll be heeling on some young punks here in the near future. I can't wait either. I already got my "scare the hell out of the boyfriend" gimmick all ready to go and it is going to be a blast.
Sorry about the lack of updates but I have been blown away with the amount of stuff that I have on my plate and I am just now finally getting around to organizing everything and getting back on track, so with that being said, here's what's been going on as well as some thoughts I just want to throw at ya.
If you haven't heard by now, I have done an interview with John Orlando this week on the CCW Hotline. The number is 470-3662 option 2. I don't know how long it will be on there but it is there.
The big news is a HUGE congrads going out to my man and partner "The Other White Meat" Dale Johnson. I am still not sure if I believe it or not and I was even there but "The White Meat" has gotten married. Yes, you heard me right. Hell has frozen over twice in one sitting. So congrads Dale, I wish you the best in your new life.
For those that didn't hear the hotline, here's a recap of what's been going on in the life of "The Orient Express"...
The Hip problems and the Abdominal Hernia are healed and back on track as far as I can tell. I won't really know until I step into the ring on a regular basis and put them to the test as to how well they will hold up but I think it will be fine. We shall see.
While healing, I took some time to get my personal life on track and get things in order. I have bought a new home for my family and I am still working on shankdorsey.com as well as cheap-dvds-advisor.com in between fixing up the house the way we want it. These sites are pretty much completed and I am just waiting for certain things to get done so that I can get them updated and running at full force again but that shouldn't be to far off.
While I am waiting for this certain thing to happen, I have started my third site and this one is based on keyword searches to help people find things that they are looking for. It's kind of like a search engine but it is based on certain web site keywords instead of search terms. I may have just confused you but don't worry, I confused myself when I first came up with the idea. The name of this site is www.keywordkong.com and it is still in the process of being built and should be up and running at a good pace in a month or two.
I also have about three more web site ideas that I have been researching and gathering information on so the process is never ending and someday I will be self employed with a house that is paid for and money in the bank. Yes, I'm talking a few years down the road I know but hey, you gotta keep them goals in front of you.
Ok, enough of that kind of stuff, let's move on to some Shank Dorsey wrestling news....
I do not have a set date yet, but I have decided it is about time to start my return to wrestling. I have taken enough time off to heal and now I am in the process of dropping a few pounds and getting back into wrestling shape so to speak. I am not rushing anything but when the time comes for me to return, you will be the first to know.
Other news going on in the life of "The Orient Express" is of a wrestling issue but not a return to the ring issue.....
As some or a lot of people already know, I am the owner of the FIW Wrestling video library as well as the domain name fiwwrestling.com . I also have legal rights to use the terms FIW or Fire and Ice wrestling if I choose to do so.
What most of you don't know is that I am now in talks with a video distribution company to take every piece of footage that I have, chop it all up and put it in order and make DVDs out of it all. I am guessing that I could probably get about 30 - 35 different DVD titles and probably more from all the footage I have. They want to edit all the footage, make the DVDs, make all the artwork, package them and put them in stores that they already distribute too. We have not come to any kind of agreements yet so nothing is set in stone but it is possible that you may be able to get FIW DVDs in your local stores in the upcoming months ahead if an agreement can be made.
I am not 100% percent sold on the idea of sharing this footage with anyone yet because I may have other plans for it in the future. I didn't want to say anything yet because I know how the rumor mills turn but with all that I have lined up, the thought of reopening FIW has been in the back of my mind. It has been for a while but if or when I decide to do so, it will be done the right way and the funds will be there to make it happen.
I refuse to half ass something like this. My wife even supports the idea of me reopening FIW in the future, which was a little surprising to me. If I am to restart Fire and Ice Wrestling, it will be done legally, legitimately, and permanently, thus, one of the reasons that I keep mentioning the web sites I am building. These sites could be the key to making it happen. I know how much money is involved in running a successful promotion and I WILL NOT even attempt it unless I am confident it can be done.
Ok, why I just told you that I have no idea, but oh well, to late now I guess.
Let's stop with the ranting and raving of my personal stuff and let me throw out some things that I just want to get off my chest-----
-Victoria is sssoooooooo HOT.....
-The Molly Holly chinstrap wig has got to be one of the funniest gimmicks I have ever seen.....
-Eugene rocks but Slammin Sammy is better.....
-The main reason I am updating my column is because Killer Kyle and DDK have been giving me crap about it.....
-Mrs. Dorsey LOVES to grill out on the deck.....
-I don't care what Big-Nosed Super Dork says, Randy Orton is the poop and quickly becoming one of my favorite workers to watch....
-Been thinking about my Acee-Ducee Marcus Dillon lately.....
-Matt Mason and Jeremy Maddrox need to return to the wrestling scene. It is much more fun with them in it.....
-I'm happy to see that Live Radio Tour is growing and working out for Drew.....
-Eddie Guerrero's color at the PPV was awesome. I was kinda jealous.....
-My day job is starting to take its toll on me and is putting me in moods that I don't like to be in......
-Can't wait to see the WHOH "Split Screen" T.V. :-0
-I still think the Dale Johnson marriage was a work.....
-I want a pool.....
-Zingers still kick ass.....
-uuuhhh, I did just mention zingers didn't I? I uuuhhh, I have something I have to go take care of.
