Wimpy Watson was very close and dear to the hearts of many people including my own. He was a devoted husband and father and a very sincere and genuine person in and out of the ring. The Wimpy Watson pool parties still rank among some of my fondest memories in wrestling. Wimpy was a friend that opened my eyes to many things in this business and made me a better wrestler and person because of it. He taught me a lot about the business and the people in it. He taught me that you didn't need blood and gimmicks to make it as a heel (although I never really took to that lesson). But the most important lesson I think I ever learned from Wimpy Watson when it came to wrestling was that you didn't have to be "mean" to be a good heel. Wimpy showed me how to incorporate comedy into my character and use it to make people hate me but at the same time be entertained while hating me. Basically, he showed me how to MAKE people love to hate me. That kind of lesson is priceless in the wrestling business and I have Wimpy Watson to thank for that. I have nothing but respect, love and admiration for Wimpy Watson and I offer the Watson family my most sincere and deepest condolences. If there is anything that I can do for you, please don't hesitate to ask. Everyone that knew Wimpy should consider themselves lucky. Wimpy will be sorely missed and I know that he is in a better place now than we are and in a way that ONLY Wimpy Watson can do he has once again made his catch phrase come true. Rest In Peace Wimpy, You Will Be Sorely Missed !!!
