Whattup Horsey-holics,

I'm back to update you all on my goings on just like I said I would so...

I guess I’ll get started with the second reason of topic #1.

The second reason I haven’t been online is because, thankfully, spring has arrived. But if you are a homeowner than you know that being a homeowner in the springtime means TONS of home projects.

My web site business has suffered a little from this as well and as soon as I get these projects done I will definitely be hitting my web sites hard again to get them back on track and growing.

I had a lot of crap to get done and I wanted to get it done before June so that I could play for the rest of the summer and not have to worry about it. I have had some good help from my wife, mom, dad, sister, and brother-in-law so it hasn’t totally sucked.

My wife has always made fun of me because I am not well known for having a tool or yard object in my hand and doing something positive with it but I have really stepped up my game and I am really getting pretty decent at this home improvement thing.

Now I wouldn’t call myself Bob Vila yet but I’m getting there. Maybe Barbara Vila but hey it’s a start.

So far here is a list of the spring projects I had to do that are finished. Again, I did have some help so I can’t take credit for doing this all solo. Just wanted to throw that out there for my wife’s sake ;-):

  1. Bust wood for 4 trees (about 15 truckloads)
  2. Built log holders and stack wood
  3. Put up privacy fence along the back fence line
  4. Put up a privacy gate
  5. Built a 30 x 20 garden
  6. Painted the privacy fence
  7. Painted the shed
  8. Painted the privacy gate
  9. Painted the kid’s play gym
  10. Tore down and rebuilt grandfathers porch roof
  11. Stripped and stained the deck
  12. Hauled out and installed a washer/dryer, 2 deep freezers
  13. Got rid of the hot tub in the garage and got the garage back in order
  14. Put together a 4 piece tool bench and cleaned out parents garage.
  15. Tilled the garden and flowers beds
  16. Put together a new shelving unit for my mom’s dish and laundry supplies
  17. Had the house power sprayed (outsourced)
  18. Got a new roof put on the house (outsourced)
  19. Power sprayed the driveway and sidewalk
  20. Cleaned up my tool area

Things that still need done:

  1. Put up a privacy fence along the side to finish the yard.
  2. Finish odd and in projects inside the house like adding fancy faucets, light fixtures, new ceiling fan, a little painting, etc. (regular home improvement maintenance).
  3. Install a new sliding back door
  4. Finish the basement
  5. Replace hardwood floor in dining room.
  6. Replace tile in kitchen and bathrooms.

Now that’s what I call a list. Not bad for a couple months time huh?

Some of the unfinished projects are going to take a while to get done but they will get done eventually.

Well, that's all I have time for for now so next week I’ll get started with the second topic that i want to discuss.
