Whattup ya’ll,

First off, I want to give a BIG Happy Birthday kiss to my sweet pea. Baby Rachel turns 4 and is already wanting to leave us and start school.

We should be happy about that but we are actually kinda sad because it is our last little girl and they are all growing up on us.

Hell, I have a kid that is going to be able to drive next year even though she won't be driving for a long time for reasons I won't air on this page.

OK, vacation is over and everything is back to normal, unfortunately, so let's move on to the next topic.

Everybody that reads this column knows that I have been thinking hard about reopening FIW. I have looked into the idea and talked to a few people about it as well.

I always say and I will always stand by the fact that if I cannot reopen FIW and do it right and in a way that I feel independent wrestling promotions should be ran then I won’t do it at all.

I will NEVER run a show under my name where the wrestlers and other staff members don’t get paid and the fans get a terrible show. I would feel so shitty about doing something like that.

Anyway, my wife and I got an interesting call a while back from her father. Her father and stepmother are huge into horses. I think they own around 24 or so.

Now I’ll be the first to admit that I am an avid horseracing fan and I’m famous around my family for being able to, damn near, always pick the WRONG FREAKIN HORSES but rest assured that I will hit a big one someday. In the meantime, my wife and mother are having a good time laughing at my dad and I.

Another one of my dreams that not many people know about is to one day own a horse that runs in the Triple Crown. I’ve accomplished a lot of my dreams in life but this one is the hardest yet to reach for.

I will NEVER say that I cannot accomplish my dreams but reality tells me that this is going to be hard to get. A good Triple Crown horse would probably run me into the hundreds of thousands and maybe even millions of dollars.

Anyway, back to my point. You get me talking about horseracing and I’ll ramble on forever.

Her dad called us and told us that they have just bought some land with 2 buildings and a store on it. They are going to use the main building to run horse and other animal auctions and the store will be a tack store that sells horse equipment.

That leaves one building left that they want to use for odd and in projects. They have approached me about doing one of those projects and that is that they want me to run wrestling shows out of it.

The first thing that crossed my mind besides, “Sweet, a free building to use at my leisure”, was that I wondered what the building looked like and was it even able to be used for a wrestling show.

I wasn’t going to move along with the project if it didn’t have an adequate setup like a concrete floor, electricity, heat, restrooms, seating, ample space for a locker room, etc.

You may laugh at that but I have wrestled in a lot worse.

Anyway, her father ran his first horse auction a little while back and we went down the help out. I got to take a look at the building from the outside but I didn’t get a chance to go in. It was there first day of business and they were running around like crazy people so I didn’t bug them too much.

To be honest, I was actually impressed with the land and the setup. The horse auction building looks practically new and in real good condition. Maybe the other building will follow its lead with a little elbow grease and TLC.

The tack shop looks like a little country store. Not new looking but not run down at all. Just a cozy little store I guess.

A big nosed friend of mine and I did look the outside over a little and also looked through the windows to see what we could see. It will definitely need some work but I think it MIGHT have everything we may be looking for to make it work.

I am moving forward with the project and when I get more time, and they are not working, I am going to go inside and do some measuring as well as get a good look at what it will take and if it can be done. So far it does look like something can be done there.

I will keep you posted when new information about the building is available.

Oh, the building is in Williamsport, OH which is about 8 miles outside of Circleville and around 45 minutes from Columbus so that’s not too bad of a drive.

That's all I got for now and if anything changes, I will let you all know here.

So until next week … Aightden GONE!!!
