It seems that my comments from last week's column has people talking and wondering why I said it, so I figured I would explain why I said the stuff I did. I'm not trying to insult anyone or upset anyone. I said what I did to try and open people's eyes to what the attitude of Columbus boys are and what people think of us.

I've worked outside of Columbus and Ohio for that matter and I hear a lot of the same stuff. Believe it or not, not very many workers outside Ohio know who we are nor do they care too. And unfortunately the reason they don't care to know us is because it seems the Columbus boys have a small reputation of having bad attitudes. As bad as I hate to, I have to agree with them. All the crap I've seen the last year and a half almost makes me ashamed to be a Columbus worker. All the shit talking, rumor starting and people taking behind people's backs, everything. It's all a waste of time and energy and it makes us look bad. I've talked to a couple guy's that's been around for a while and know a lot about the business and they have worked on a couple shows with some of the Columbus boys and these are the kind of questions I got: 1) who is such and such? 2) How long have they been working? 3) Why do they have such cocky attitudes when they ain't all that good anyway? Then it usually goes into a story where a Columbus boy says or does something during a show, usually in the back, that pisses people off or leaves a bad taste in their mouths.

The point I'm trying to make is that if people have a bad perception of us then it's gonna be hard to get somewhere in this business. I always wondered why we could never get scouts at our shows or reporters and photographers from wrestling magazines and now I think I know why. They are not gonna waste time with people that have a negative attitude toward the business. I'm talking about from the people that are dishonest, won't return personal property, and won't produce what is rightfully theirs, to people that talk good to you to your face and then when your gone or theirs a situation that isn't to their liking they talk shit about you or threaten you.

People that think they are a great wrestler and have their nose stuck in the air, when in reality they need to put their nose down and get in the damn ring, to people who sit around and make fun of people or critique people and what they say, when in reality the don't know shit about the business and are still as green as the day is young. It kills me when I see greenies sit around with the worst attitude but still think they are somebody. NEWS FLASH FELLAS: none of us are somebody in this business no matter what you wanna think. I've seen some of the other promotions outside of ohio and they ain't no joke. No attitude, very well disciplined, respectable, and yes, they know their place in this business. That's why they are getting all the publicity and we aren't.

To those that think I was talking about them when I wrote the column I say this. I was not talking about anyone in general, but if you really think I was talking about you, then I would suggest sitting down and taking time and honestly asking yourself if those are some of the qualities that you have.

Bottom line: people are not gonna take Columbus wrestling serious unless we take it serious ourselves.

I hope this clears up some matters. If it did not there's not much more I can say, you'll just have to figure things out on your own I guess. Like I did. Personally I think Columbus has a lot of great talent. It's the attitudes that the people out there don't like. And as long as we have the bad attitude reputation, we will never go anywhere in this business.
